CLA
- THE SLIM FACTOR
The nutritional supplement CLA
(conjugated linoleic acid) is a slightly altered form of the essential
fatty acid, linoleic acid. Over 200 studies have shown that CLA
may play a very important role not only in weight loss, but in helping
to fight cancer, diabetes, and atherosclerosis (hardening of the
arteries). In promoting weight less double-blind studies show an
increase in lean muscle mass and a decrease in percentage body fat
compared to placebo group. The subjects taking CLA also reported
less fatigue, dizziness and nausea than those on the placebo. Researchers
believe that CLA helps block fat cells that are in the body from
filling up with fat by interfering with a fat-storing enzyme known
as lipoprotein lipase as well as by increasing the sensitivity of
cells to the hormone insulin. CLA is also believed to help burn
fat by revving up muscle metabolism and helping increase lean muscle
mass. The more muscle you have, the more calories your body uses
in order to function, thereby speeding up the fat burning process.
CLA is found naturally occurring in meat and dairy products when
the cattle and cows consume a diet rich in grasses. Now that livestock
are primarily grain fed, the CLA has virtually disappeared out of
dairy products and the meat we consume. As a result, we may be increasing
our risk for obesity, heart disease, and even cancer. Customers
have found even more weight loss success when they combined Tonalin®
CLA (2000 mg twice a day) with 250 mg Natural Factors Bromelain
and 100 mg Natural Factors Alpha Lipoic Acid in conjunction with
an exercise program. CLA stands for Conjugated Linoleic Acid, a
natural fatty acid that has been shown to increase lean muscle while
slowing the production of fat. CLA: Conjugated Linoleic Acid "A
study published in the American Journal of Physiology hints that
CLA could be the jack-of-all-trades among natural fat fighters.
In lab mice fed low or high fat diets, CLA pared down body fat,
curbed appetite and boosted the metabolism." - Let's Live, September
2000 CLA is a natural fat burner without the unpleasant side effects
of many diet aids. This is particularly true if CLA is combined
with exercise and diet. CLA occurs naturally in meats and dairy
products but these products are also generally high in fats and
studies suggest that changes in food production methods and eating
habits have reduced our intake of CLA from foods considerably. Research
shows that CLA affects the way our bodies store and use energy,
leading to an increase in lean muscle and a decrease in body fat.
Since muscle burns energy better than fat, CLA contributes to dieters'
ability to keep the pounds off.

Co Enzyme Q
10
Co Enzyme Q 10 is our cellular spark plug! Is is
required by every cell in our body and is the key to cellular energy,
without it our health can break down resulting in degenerative diseases.
Studies have shown Co Q 10's effectiveness in congestive heart failure,
high blood pressure, cancers, tumours and gum disease. The use of
cholesterol lowering drugs may contribute to our own lack of production
of this vital body component, making suplementation essential.

Coral Calcium
CORAL CALCIUM is rich in highly absorbable calcium
and 72 vital minerals. It is available in capsules and powder. Sourced
from above ground in Okinawa, Japan.

Evening Primrose
Oil
Evening Primrose Oil is a rich source of Gamma
Linolenic Acid (GLA)and is very helpful for women's PMS or menopause
symtoms. It is also valuable for many skin disorders including acne,
eczema or psoriasis in both men and women.

Wild Salmon Oil
Wild Salmon Oil is a superior and contaminant-
free source of omega-3 fatty acids, good for mental and emotional
health, rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure and heart disease.
Studies have shown that the astaxanthin found in this oil scavenges
reactive oxygen species, modulates immunce activity, enhances communication
between cells and has a protective effect on the eyes and cardiovascular
system.

High Blood Pressure
Anti-ACE Peptides by Natural Factors is a natural
product. A group of small peptides (proteins) from the bonito fish,
a member of the tuna family are used to create Natural Factors Anti-ACE
Peptides. This product lowers blood pressure by inhibiting an enzyme
known as ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme). This enzyme causes
a reaction that increases both the volume of blood flowing through
arteries and the degree of constriction of the blood vessels - like
pinching off a garden hose while turning up the flow of water full
blast! By inhibiting the action of this enzyme, Anti-ACE Peptides
relax arterial walls and reduce fluid volume, effectively lowering
blood pressure. |
